What was most important to me was the ability for me to have my own relationship with the stories. I was never once given the option of believing the story or not, per se. I was never really told how to think about the story. The story was just there. And I could interact with it, how I wanted. And I could draw my own conclusions from the story. And that has been something that has carried me through in my adult life.
